Microsoft makes the best free anti-virus software

Microsoft makes the best free anti-virus software. According to anti-malware testing group AV-Comparatives.org Microsoft Security Essentials got its top rating.Previously it said that the software was very good at removing malware, but now it is saying that it is also the best in terms of performance too.The software has been available for testing since June, and its release comes about three weeks before the company's newest version of Windows, Windows 7, goes on sale Oct. 22. Security Essentials works with Windows XP (Service Packs 2 or 3), Windows Vista and Windows 7.
Michael Cherry, research vice president, operating systems for Directions on Microsoft, an independent research group, has been among those trying out Security Essentials, which he said "provides a base level of protection from malware."

Malware, or malicious software, can be used to steal passwords or commandeer computers for criminal uses, including as denial-of-service attacks to shut down Web sites.

Security Essentials will automatically be updated daily as it checks for viruses, spyware and other malicious software . here is the link to it LINK

I've been using this for some time and then I removed it because it would automatically start scanning even though the system is not idle.

Microsoft Security Essential is surely the best antivirus developed by Microsoft till date. I have been using this from last 2 months and the best part about this it doesn't uses too much resources and scans the files quite quickly. Like Norton and other Anti-Virus this is more handy but Microsoft still have a long way to go in this place. It only takes time to update the very first time after that it update automatically and performs the best for users with low config.
