How to Increase Your PC's Performance


Sitting idle in front of your pc and waiting for the completion of a task is really frustrating.The performance of your pc can be increased if you follow the below steps:
If you follow these the for ways of how to increase PC speed, you should see a boost of anywhere between 35-52.5% in performance speed based on industry standards

There's two school of thought when increasing your PC for better performance. The first one being is spending money on upgrades to increase your PC's performance and the second is tinkering and optimizing your PC's settings for better performance.

Remove those programs
Is is necessary to remove the unwanted programs that we don't use currently. But we should not disturb the system programs that are needed to run the system stable.


Follow The steps :
a. Select start and then click on control panel.
b. Control panel window will get displayed. Click on Add or Remove Program, and then on Remove programs.
c. Select the program you want to remove and click on remove/change.
d. Follow the wizard to remove that program.

Disk Defragmentation

The files and folders are scattered on the Drive .Defragmentation of the hard disk volumes is referred to as the process in which disk fragmenter (a program) analyzes local volumes (some refer it as drives) and arranges files and folders in such a way that each occupies a single, contiguous space on the volume




Follow The steps :
1. Open the Start Menu
2. Click on My Computer
3. Right Click your C: drive or your hard drive image.
4. Scroll down to the "Properties" Click
5. In the Properties Menus, Open the "Tools" menu.
6. Choose Defragment Now.
7. In the Disk Deframenter menu. Click on "Defragment"


Disk Clean up
Increase your pc's performance by removing temporary files, recycle bin's files, old chkdsk files etc.

a. Click on start and then point to All programs.
b. Point on Accessories and then to System Tools.
c. Click on Disk Cleanup
d. A window will pop up to ask you for drive which you want to clean up.
e. Select Drive and click ok.
f. Select the files you want to remove and click ok.
g. Repeat this process for all drives.



Clean Up Your Hard Drive
Each file on your computer is stored in more than one place. A slow hard drive has useless and abandoned files stored in multiple places on your computer. This is similar to having a very messy room. When you are in a rush and need to find your keys. It will take forever to find them. Same goes for finding files in your hard drive.


1. Click the Windows button and open the Computer folder.
2. Find and Select your hard drive, right click the hard drive icon.
3. Choose Properties from the drop down list.
4. In the Local Disk Properties dialog box, click the Disk Cleanup tab.5. Choose Files from all users on this computer.
6. Click OK after the check box for all the files you want to delete.
